Would you look at that? There are blossoms beginning to burst out on my magnolia tree (upper right corner)!
What an amazing day. THGGM enjoyed the outside while I played around with junk I had lying around the house.
Let's see..,
This is the base of what I made.
It's a small jello ring mold glued to the bottom of a pie pan.
The next layer is a paper covered chunky soup can glued to the bottom pie pan and another just a bit smaller.
The next layer is a paper covered regular soup can glued to the middle pie pan with a third pie pan glued to its top.
Next I glued the bottoms of two small jello molds together and glued that to the top pie pan.
And VOILA!
I added some shredded green paper 'grass' and a few Easter eggs.
Tomorrow I plan to swap out the paper grass for moss and change the Easter eggs to stone eggs for a more muted look.
I like it.
You don't have to.
We can still be friends.

I like it. We hit a couple of antique and thrift stores in the Holland area the last few days. Kept wondering if you were there too.ha
I don't have any little Grandchildren any more so really enjoy photos and stories about yours.Only one of our four children live nearby, so don't even think I will be doing much Easter decorating this year. Everyone will be gone for Spring Break.
Thanks for sharing your family with me.
I like it! I'll be the stone & muted look will be nice, too.
What for glue do you use? I am quite glue-illiterate. It keeps me from creating things. (That's my excuse, anyway.)
I really like it! I have a ton of pie pans under the sink, now I know what to do with them. Very cute.
Ingenious and adorable!
Thank you, I hate the artificcially graspads with daisies under my assortment of real eggs (nandoo, hen, turkey, swan, emoo, ostrich and some smaller ones. They are all from official farms with a licence to keep the birds. The eggs are checked against a strong lampbulb to make certain there is a chicken staring in there. If there is not, the egg is blown out, cleaned and sold, because these eggs are not fit for consumption, being kept warm under the females body for at least three days. So I put them in a black shallow box to admire them as is. I am sure I will be shredding the right solour of green paper this year, so much nicer (and from one who is not biased: Hertsje is adorable, as all the other four and their nephew are).DM
Oh wow, Judy... Next to you I am a crafting dud. :) Your project is incredible (!) and so is this glorious weather you and I are having.
Oh, and thanks for your sweet birthday wish! I don't mind later ones at all, for they stretch out my birthday and make it last longer. So thanks again! Blessings, Debra
