One of the local thrift stores has been selling these for $12.50.
Is it thrift, or is it antique?
Why was it cheaper at an antiques mall than at a thrift store?
I don't get it.
Lately I've been finding better prices on the kinds of things I like (weird old junk) at the antique venues than at thrift stores.
Anyway.., in it was a wonderful full page advertisement for Listerine.
So hand sanitizer is nothing new! People have been using it since 1929!
Now I am off to bed. I'm almost done with "Grant Takes Command" and ready to start "Stillness at Appomattox" which is the next one also by Bruce Catton. I found it yesterday at an antiques mall.

It is cheaper at the antiques because "it ain't antique" but thrift. It is less cheap at the thrift, because it looks like an antique drawing, so it must be antique!;-) And yes, I like litlle isues with antiques too because it makes them so much more affordable and not an object you buy speculating it will go up in price, but b ecause you totally like it and want/need to have it. Who cares there is a little chip at the bottom or the lid is missing, if you just want the pitcher to look at, there is no need to keep flies out. The drawing of the knitting girls make me smile, it suggest the middle or east of the Netherlands in the clothing. You can look up the diverse "klederdrachten"styles of the Netherlands. The drawing reminds me of drawings of Rie Cramer, it is worthwile to look for her name in the Needlework issue or at antiques.DM
I'm finding that thrift stores are getting wise to things that are "antique" and the price reflects it. Sometimes our antique store will offer 25% off just because. That's nice. Good thing you shopped both places to compare!
