Monday I brought up a desk and chair from the basement for Kado to use for his 'school'. The little cubby on top I found at an antiques mall. This little set up gave him MUCH enjoyment! The cubby has little slots that nicely hold his alphabet and number flash cards and one small drawer for him to store his 'treasures'. Today's treasure was a dice (die?) which he insisted was his marble. Of course, Feintsje wanted it SO badly that I think I'm going to have to nail the cubby to the wall out of his reach. Thankfully, he can still be lured away with the offer of a bottle.
There was almost an hour today when they were both asleep at the same time.
At one point I asked the VERY chatty Kado if he missed Jonge and Famke. He gave me a very blank stare which, if stares had sound, sounded like "Jonge and Famke who?" He did say that he missed the vacationing Hertsje, and Feintsje kept looking into the pack-n-play for her.
Jonge and Famke are both absolutely LOVING school, for which I am very thankful.

So glad they both love school. Kado looks like he is annoyed with Feintsje. Kado gets to be the big boy with Jonge at school. I often play school with my granddaughter. I never get to be the teacher. (sigh)
Love the pic of Kado at his desk!
He will be there soon enough.
The pic of Feintsje is endearing. It is such a carefree time of life when a baa-baa can fix most any 'ole thing!
Your comment about the blank stare made me LOL!
I am glad for Jonge and Famke that they are both enjoying school.

He looks darling at his little desk...
