October 25

Our destination, Franksville Wisconsin - home of the best Aunt and Uncle anyone could ever have.
T

Hmm.  I was going to post captions on each picture, but so far that has caused two of them to disappear.  Along with a cute video of two screaming geese.  Anyway.., it was a gorgeous day, in the mid 70's.  We went to a lovely farm store that had a beautiful high-end gift shop BESIDES a corn maze, petting zoo, and great local products.  From there we went to an antique mall and wandered around until our feet hurt.  I found the sweet piano book for a great price.  Although when I removed the price sticker it's condition was rapidly down graded.  Why must vendors put stickers on the FRONT of paper products?  It makes no sense to me.  But back to our day.  It was wonderful.  Oh, and I love cows.  That is why there is a picture of a calf.  I've always wanted one.  I think it's their soulful eyes.

I agree about stickers on paper products and the soulful eyes of cows.

Sounds like you're having a good time, Judy. Enjoy your wonderful uncle and aunt. (Most of mine are gone, and I miss them.)

Judy, do not remove the pricestickers until you are home. Then, pick up an electric hairdryer and gently warm the sticker, it will almost always come off without taking paper from the front with it. The sticky residue will dry and can sometimes be erased with a pencil (schooltype) eraser or just pour some flour over the stickiness, or chalk, or for a nice smell, ground cinnamon, it will not be sticky anumore, adjust to the coulour of the front. Your picture of the window with the coloured glas gave me an idea, I will look out for miniature coloured bottles to do the same. Yesterday I had 2 good finds at the thriftstore: a metal tablebell with a spinningwheel as a grip and a Sinterklaasspeculaas (Santa Claus cookieform) handcarved wooden cookieform to make a cookie with the print of a milkmaid working a milkchurn in a wooden vat. Google speculaasplanken, you will see what I refer to. This one is carved nice and smooth and I will be able to use it like it was meant to, other then the tourist things which are roughly hewn and will not let loose of the cookiedough. If you ever buy one you should watch for smooth ones if you want to use them. DM
