Welcome to Anybody Home!

Here you will find scattered pictures from my point and shoot camera, random thoughts from my little world, treasured memories of days gone by, hopeful dreams of the days yet to come, and a bunch of ideas - because I've always got ideas!

Sigh...

I've greatly enjoyed the last two days.

This is because I have slept in, feasted on leftovers, played the piano, watched a few movies, read, and drank vast amounts of coffee.

Now tomorrow I must kick it into high-gear (i actually do not have a high gear.., hmm.., what to do...) to get ready for the NEXT Christmas party with the extended family, which will be here on Sunday.

I'm looking forward to it.

Tomorrow I'll clean, and Saturday I'll bake.

But I am sure that both days will require a good long nap.

Oh!  And look!  I added some ribbon to my ice skates!  I was also going to fill them with something, but I can no longer remember what.  Hmm.

I hope that you are enjoying your week between the holidays.  It's been lovely over here.

Our plans seem to be running somewhat parallel this season. I enjoyed seeing your pictures of Christmas Day. (Ours was a quiet one with just my parents.) Now our first daughter & SIL & their five have arrived and are spending the night before we all go to OH to a hotel to meet with extended family (over 50 of us)! Then on Sunday afternoon, OUR 3 children & 11 grands will come to our place where we'll have "our" Christmas..... Does that make sense?

I sure wish I had more practice (like you have) at being relaxed with a houseful of children!

I think the ribbons are the perfect touch...wouldn't do another thing to them.

I've got skates that have been waiting for me to decorate them for years - they are in the laundry room collecting dust - I bet there are spiders inside of the. :)

Sounds like you're getting some much needed rest in between your entertaining. I love the skates. Happy New Year! ~amy
