Nostalgic for Yesterday

I go through stages where I'm just crazy about sepia tones.

So put up with me, will you?

This is Oldest Son swinging in his sister's backyard.

I remember that when my children were small we once had one swing.  It was a pink disc with an embossed monkey face on it, tied to a clothesline pole with a yellow nylon rope.  If one were to fall off of it, unpleasantness would have ensued.  Thankfully, no one did.   At least not very often.

Daughter's backyard is like a park.  I love it.
Broeder is adored by all.  There is a line to hold him everywhere he goes.

Although it seems to me that Pake pushes himself to the front of the line sometimes.

When Broeder and his family left I heard more than one voice say, "Hey!  I didn't get a turn to hold him!"
See what I mean?

Of course, Hertsje still gets her fair share of cuddling.  Although she would much rather be on the move, walking up the slide, climbing on anything and everything, and enjoying her life immensely.  But she was quite happy to sit with her uncle.
Have I mentioned that this summer has been sooo nice?  Oh, I have, haven't I.

I have been drooled on more than once holding a baby in the air like that, but well worth the risk. Call me mad, but actually the drool was not bad! ;-)
