Welcome to Anybody Home!

Here you will find scattered pictures from my point and shoot camera, random thoughts from my little world, treasured memories of days gone by, hopeful dreams of the days yet to come, and a bunch of ideas - because I've always got ideas!

Princesses, Princes, and Etc.

This was my first attempt EVER at a "photo booth".

The first thing I learned was not to include a nearly dead tree in the background.

Flipping the frame helped.

Although I do think that quite possibly the nearly dead tree gave this picture a rather fairy tale effect.
Since this was a last minute idea of mine, all I could find where straw mustaches.

They worked okay.

Then Jonge got the idea to make the straws shorter, which made more sense and looked better too.

Even Zeke got in on it!

And although Hertsje refused to wear a wig, she did love being adorned with jewels!
There was one child who enjoyed the photo booth more than the others.

Can you guess who it was?
Just ask the "Magic Mirror" on the picnic table.
Watch out Grant Wood.
This may be the new "American Gothic".

Feintsje was more interested in playing the birthday girl's new guitar than playing photo booth, but I did manage to get a picture of him in his daddy's shades.

Good pictires. Mayne you would like to know the red flowering plant in the picture with the mirrpr is calles an Vlijtig Liesje over here. Arduous Liesje, because it tries to flower on and on and on and Liesje is a girlsname, like Lis. You can break of a non-flowering branch and put it on a little water and it will make roots soon. This plant and the Coleus and the red flowering Pelargonium, the old fashioned one, were the plants every household could afford, because you could always beg a "stekje" a little branch to get rootingfrom friends, oh, and of course the Fuchsia. See, DIY for housewives to pretty their rooms and gardens. DM

I forgot to mention how hysterical those photos are! Jonge just cracks me up....and Kado as serious as a judge in that one....and the American Gothic, what a classic!
All your posts are fun, but this one is bound to stay in the top ten.
