Outside My Living Room Window Today

Famke had a tummy ache this morning so had to miss school.  Her and her little brothers were sitting on the couch with me when suddenly she said "There's a hawk!"
I glanced out the window, then ran for my camera.
I have a new camera that I am just becoming familiar with.
So far, I am rather happy with it!
And the hawk wasn't in much of a hurry to get away.
I can recognize a red tailed hawk, but this one didn't have a red tail.  So I'm not entirely sure what it is.
Some sources said it might be "immature", but we stared at it for quite some time without it ever sticking its tongue out at us or going "nah, nah, na, nah, nah!" so I'm not certain.  It seemed mature to me.

Cooper's hawk? The head doesn't look like a red tailed hawk. And the top is too dark and the underside too yellow.

I think so Mary. I just LOVE seeing them.
