A Day At the Beach

The beach was PERFECT.   That is if you do not mind extremely cold water.  We don't mind.

This picture really shows how much the Lake Michigan water level has risen!

There were a few groups on the beach, but not many.  And NOBODY was swimming.

Jonge was pleased to find this giant "pencil".
Such fun!

Of course, Pake took this opportunity to pose them for a picture on a log.
Feintsje got the most wet.
I love his reflection in the water on the sand.
Kado prefers the beach without waves (Millennium  Park), but he really seemed to enjoy himself anyway.
One of the wonders of going to the beach is that if you forget to bring a ball, you can just make one out of wet sand.

Where there's a will, there's a way!

It WAS sooo fun!
But after all that fun, we had to climb back up the dune and hike through the woods.

Nobody seemed to have a problem with that.

Well, except for me.  I did try not to be whiny, but it was hard!
