Being Thomas

Last weekend I found a few delightful things while thrift shopping, but the best of all (at least for three people that i know) was this Thomas costume!

Feintsje had a great time helping his cousins put the costume on.
And the cousins liked having his help.

By the end of the day they had all spent a nice amount of time being Thomas.

You know, useful, and all of that.

Oh Judy, there is an (he has passed over to better meadows) comedien named Toon Hermans, who did a Sinterklaas (5 dec) account of his youth. It onvolved Saint Niclas wearing a red tablecloth where you still could see the indentations of a hooked daisy that was placed under a pot with a fern in it, he thought he one year detacted Aunts (can I mention bo o bs?) and so on. He also never got a trainset from Saint N., they had to form a train with one child being the locomotiv and the other ones the wagons. He sighed it was good after all they were so many siblings, otherwise it would have been a halfpebby train. Conclusion by himself: he hated Saint N. nothing but trouble. How different it is when you can have a train outfit and be the locootive in turns. I immediately heard the comedian complaining again, I think it was on TV before we married, so about 45 years ago. Time and things have changed, keep visiting those thrift stores and the likes, they turn out the most lovely things, like said Saint Nick story I hope to pick up some day for the equivalent of a dollar.
