Cottage 2018, Last Saturday

It's that time of year!
Vacation at a cottage on Lake Michigan in Holland.
This is our forth year.
Hertsje was excited to show me her NEW smile!
She lost a top front tooth!

Then, it's on to being coated in sun screen.

All week I had a Wiggles song running through my head:
"Beach, beach sandy beach!
Feel the sand on your feet!"

It is truly a lovely setting.
Old cottages mixed with new homes.

 Forty eight steps from the deck to the beach.

 Cousin time!
These two wanted their picture taken covered in sand.
I asked why, and they both yelled out "It's shark poop!"
Sometimes I forget that I probably don't want to know.

Thankfully, there are NO sharks in Lake Michigan.

I love this little cottage.
The history in and around it is warm and cozy.
The place is clean, quaint, and oh so charming.
And it has two bathrooms.
Never forget what's REALLY important.

 This is only our first sunset.
Since it is now one week later, I can assure you that there was not one night with a disappointing sunset.

So much to do!

Everyone wanted to do everything on the first day.

This was interesting!

My favorite place is the deck.

It holds all thirteen of us comfortably.
