Today I Made Stuff

My glue gun came out this morning!

These are a few of the things I made with stuff I have lying around the house.

This was made with a piece of wood that was left after THGGM added a padded top to an old wooden box he bought early this year.

I white washed it a bit to lighten it up.

I had the letters (after all, my name is JudY) and a small wreath.
These are lined with some scrapbook paper I've been hoarding for years.

The cookie cutters are from a collection I have built because I cannot pass up a cookie cutter.
It's been said before, but I'll say it again, it's easy to do this with things around the house when you have a lot of stuff just lying around the house.

The Second Bedroom

This redo was made possibly by shopping around my house.  The only "new" thing I purchased was the blackboard, on sale at Michael's!
This will be a play room still for the grand kids if necessary and a sleep-over/guest room the rest of the time.
My idea was to keep it simple, but apparently, I do not know how to do that.
Anyway.., I am having FUN!

She Makes Stuff

Today I made these things!  I'm not exactly sure what they are, but I DO like them!  The idea came from something I saw on Pinterest.  Those were made like a snowflake - painted white - with a picture glued on the front.
Of course, since I do not have the patience to read and follow directions, I just did it my way.  These are made with five toilet paper rolls folded in half just in the middle.  I hot-glued them together, glued a leather button in the center and added some leather cording for a bow.  Not sure if I like the bow or not.
Time will tell, but I think I'm going to hang them on the glass doors of my china cabinet.
And these were UNBELIEVABLY quick and easy to make.  I did all three of them in less than 30 minutes and never even burned my fingers on the hot glue.
Ooo!  I just remembered that I have several large "lace" rubber stamps.  The next time I make these I'll have to roll the toilet paper rolls over the lace stamp first.
I feel the most alive when I'm making stuff.  Am I the only one?

She Makes Stuff

Today I tried a slightly different variation on the flower theme.

I like it!

Still using the old French dictionary, this time I added in a few flowers punched from an old hymnbook.

This isn't what I had set out to do. My idea was to punch out flowers from several thicknesses of tissue paper. Well, that did NOT work.

When I make stuff I usually learn many ways how NOT to do something.

All of this was stuff I had on hand.
