Hooray! Hooray!
It's cooler here today!
And, I could not be happier.
Our home has an attic fan. It is so powerful that I often (way too often) joke about how I have to get up every morning and pick the neighbors off the front screens.
It's 68 degrees in here as I write this. That's still three degrees higher than I keep it all winter, but it feels WONDERFUL! Have I mentioned lately that I just cannot stand the heat?
Anyway.
Many good things are happening here.
THGGM did not have to keep his appointment with the sleep clinic. Losing over 40 pounds did the trick. He no longer snores in that way that had me plotting evil against him.
Oldest Son and Daughter-in-law are in Aruba. He has great pictures up at his blog www.oxfordblues.blogspot.com
They will be visiting us this weekend. We do not provide deluxe accommodations. But, we will have Baby Boy staying with us while his parents take in a Tigers/White Sox game in Chicago.
I think I just had my first really clear thought since all this heat and humidity and horrid hormones attacked my brain. It's saying something about cleaning up this house... I'm not sure... It's not really all THAT clear...
But I'd best heed it, THHGM is starting to get that wicked arch to his right eyebrow.

I know all about that arch. I refer to it as the Dr Spock look! ROFL
I'm glad you are having a cooler day, too! I was actually able to take a morning walk today--hooray for cooler mornings! Loved your attic fan humor and have a fun time with your kids this weekend! Blessings, Debra
LOL about the neighbors. We have a very powerful fan too. The only problem is that it sucks so hard that it brings up the septic smell through the pipe that does not have a trap. Not good!
I love your blog and the everydayness of it. It reminds me some of the Jan Karon book that find the beauty of the ordinary things of life.
Arghhh...
The arch was more pronounced when he got home...
But, it is still cooler.
Thanks for your comments! You would not believe how much I appreciate you!
Wow...the remark about your husband and snoring and loosing weight helping that is SO encouraging...maybe it would help me too...and I also have sleep apnea and have not wanted to get a machine...now care to tell us HOW he lost all that weight, aside from starving himself?
Elizabeth,
I think most of it is because he is no longer traveling and eating out (using his expense account) any more.
He has loosely followed the Atkins diet M-F, but eats pretty much whatever he wants on the weekend.
Of course, so have I, and I have lost nothing. Is it due to the fact that at this age, I just cannot seem to get rid of ANYTHING?
Anyway...when I get over being so jealous, I'll be happy for him!
