It was a very VERY hot day. Humid, and in the upper 90's. My forehead is so shiny, I could land airplanes with it.
This is just a picture of the picture which I doctored up a bit.
THGGM is wearing a very pale green tux. The church was blue at the time. I do not know what we were thinking.
We are both 19 years old. So, obviously, we were NOT thinking. Didn't even know how to, yet.
Tomorrow it THGGM's birthday. He will be 48.

Oh how cute! Loved the picture--you look like my friend who was my bridesmaid that very same year--1978. I, too, was 19 but Tom was 21. We knew each other only 4 months before we married--crazy, I know... but we had the blessing of all our relatives and church folks--it was pretty obvious, I guess, that we were made for each other. And nearly 28 years later, it appears we were. :) Anyway, thanks for sharing the sweet picture and happy birthday to your hubby! Blessings, Debra
The tux looks so very much like the one my hubby wore too...down to the ruffled part. Only the dumb rental place sent the wrong sized one...so he and the guys fixed it the only way men could...just kind of pinned it and bunched it up every little bit...looked bad! Oh well...I was not supposed to see him you know...silly the customs we observe sometimes. My hubby's was a pale blue...it was quite the fashion then huh? We married in 1972...you are younger so must have been a year or so later anyway. This next weekend is our anniversary...34 years. I am not sure where all of life went...some days we more than feel our age!!
