the song of mehitabel

this is the song of mehitabel
of mehitabel the alley cat
as i wrote you before boss
mehitabel is a believer
in the pythagorean
theory of the transmigration
of the soul and she claims
that formerly her spirit
was incarnated in the body
of cleopatra
that was a long time ago
and one must not be
surprised if mehitabel
has forgotten some of her
more regal manners
(from "archy and mehitabel" by don marquis)
Daughter needed to dress up for Halloween at work today.
I think she makes a rather respectable looking 'mehitabel'!
there s a dance in the old dame yet
toujours gai toujours gai

I painted my face up one year when I was answering the door to the trick-or-treaters and scared one little dumpling so badly I no longer do that, haha! But Casey dressed Dylan in his Halloween costume when she picked him up after work this afternoon so we could see him...he was a puppy dog, including a tail! I thought we were gonna die laughing. Ah Judy...grandbabies, I tell ya! And your Dear Daughter is a cutie patootie, too. Happy Halloween to you, sweetie.

I thought Baby Boy might be scared of his mommy all dressed up, but he LOVED it.

I dressed up as a mouse one year when the kids were very young. We had great fun!
