I found some great treasures (well, to me anyway) at one of my favorite thrift stores. I wasn't even planning to go thrift shopping, but THGGM had to pick something up somewhere else, and he dropped me off there while he ran his errand.

I found this old strand of Christmas beads. It was priced the same as those icky beads they throw at Mardi Gras.
I also found the old tinsel garland. I'm thinking I might just avoid the attic altogether this year and buy thrift store Christmas stuff, and bring it all back in January!

I'm sure I will think of something to make with these old wooden beads, which I've already put into a really great milk bottle I found marked Racine, Wisconsin.

The china head seemed interesting to me.
I have an idea for her. If it ever happens, I'll put her on my Inky Fingers blog for the world to admire. Or, laugh at. Whatever.
I have an idea for her. If it ever happens, I'll put her on my Inky Fingers blog for the world to admire. Or, laugh at. Whatever. I found the multicolored tiny ornaments for only 49 cents.
The "Prayer Changes Things" plaque was the same.
Actually, so much of what I bought looked like it came from the same people.
I thought this little girl needed to be rescued. She looks to me like she would have been interesting to know.
I might have to write a story about her. I'll name her Lily, and have her be the one who is preserving her belongs for me to find in a distant time.
And, I will treasure them as she did.

You made some sweet purchases!! And I confess, I love the idea of buying it all at a thrift store and then returning it!!
I'm making headway on the 'buying' part. I fear when it comes time to bring it back, I'll have a change of heart!
