There is a special jar at my house.
I don't think of it all that often.
Today I liked how the morning sun looked beaming through the front door, so I grabbed my camera - ignoring the dust - and took this picture.
I forgot to remove the jar at the right in the picture. Normally, before taking a picture I will move it. Because it really doesn't fit in with the 'look' I'm going for.
I purchased it long ago because I LOVE the shape, the colors, the flowers and that cute little knob on the lid.
Somewhere along the way it evolved into the mystery place where treats would appear for Jonge when he was just a very little boy.
I remember what an exciting day it was when there was a treat inside for Famke too.
I also remember the day Famke out ran Jonge to get to the Snack Fairy Jar first. THAT was a new experience.
No one is exactly sure who the Snack Fairy is.
Jonge recently mentioned to THGGM that he thinks it may be me.
Usually, the jar contains fruit snacks.
Sometimes the Snack Fairy even forgets.
Soon, she is going to have to add one more snack.
Quite possibly someday the mystery and excitement of the Snack Fairy Jar will diminish for Jonge and Famke. Oh, and even Kado.
But for me? This bowl with the lid will always represent that happy place of childhood where snacks appear out of nowhere and common treats taste special because they were put there just for you.
Sometimes even I wonder who she is.

Another precious memory created by an awesome grandma. Your grandchildren are so blessed.
You are the most fun grandma! I'm filing away this idea for "someday." And I love your spring header.
I love that you have a snack fairy jar!! And I adore those little flowers on the jar too. So cute.
