And I Did It Again!

I played for a bit in my basement studio last night and this afternoon. This time I used an oatmeal container cut in half. Charlotte Lyons was my inspiration. http://www.housewrenstudio.typepad.com/ Scroll down to find her lovely house. Mine is more elementary.

The door could use some work. I was just so thrilled to leave it hinged. Usually, I come unhinged, so anything I touch that doesn't just seems sort of special to me.

This one actually has an out house. In my old book stash I found a paperback remake of an old Sears Catalog. So, I covered a blank Scrabble tile with a bit of that and put it in there next to the potty. Then I was inspired to add a touch of wallpaper to the inside of the out house too. I find it charming. And look! It even has a step.

This time I added a black dog. I still miss Max, whose untimely death disturbed me greatly.

And it seemed like it needed the goose. There is no goose that I am missing.

I LOVE making these. And, I feel so much better when I am making something.

Soon, I shall have a village. Five seems like a nice size village. Two down, three to go!

I've told Dear Hubby I would love to still have a doll house to play around with. Have you ever seen the one Queen Elizabeth had as a girl? To DIE for! He told me when we get old...which is fast approaching...if I'd like a doll house to go ahead and buy myself one. I could play all I want. And he wouldn't even tell any one. Now, isn't he just a peach of a fella?!

A village is a nice idea, with villagers with distinct identities, and character.

The dog is alert, and already seems to have claimed ownership of the house.

This one is even cuter than the first. And it was darn cute. Can't wait to see what other pieces you come up with. Love the outhouse!
