Found at my local thrift store:
"The Primitive", by Feike Feikema.
THGGM's grandfather, Nick Feikema, was Feike Feikema's cousin. Most of his books were written under his pen name, Fredrick Manfred.
Somewhere on this blog I have pictures of the two of them standing together. Feike Feikema was 6' 9".
My sons are tall, but not THAT tall. ![](https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEhLDjk499Qk0svi1C-EAOYjH0Q1rBGIhexEvJ7MDt1kHgKdvemgeXDKSCI6WWF-f-sXdXYz5WrFr_tSebcdWjsC3bAb8SYDdhWXyLXHboU5HtNWZ0IJY-VbW8iAHGvylvtP3fa6HA/s400/DSCN4089.JPG)
I don't have a Frisian Bible, but hope to happen upon one someday.

A few years ago I remember my dad alerting me to a group of men speaking Frisian. To me, it sounded just like English, but didn't make sense.
Unlike the Dutch language we were more often to hear spoken around here, which just sounds like, well.., Dutch.
I'm planning to read this one. It sounds somewhat interesting to me.
