I found a stack of these plates a few years ago while thrift shopping with my sisters in Kalamazoo.
ALMOST passed them up. Yet I was fairly sure that just one of the plates would sell for more than what the entire stack would cost me.
So I went back and got them.
I find them to be charming.
But I don't have much that's pink in my home, except for my pink bathroom. And I did try them in there, but they looked somewhat odd, like one would imagine a French street scene in a bathroom would.
Even the picture on the back of each plate is cutesy.
So they rest comfortably, stacked on the shelves in my china cupboard.
Have I used them, you may wonder?
Yes. Yes I have.
There are chips here and there on three of the plate, but none that effect the front of the plate.
So, I have used them as serving pieces along with other patterns of pink/white/glass dishes.
I've also thought of stacking the three different sizes gluing glass candlesticks between the plates.
I think though, that if I ever open up an Etsy shop these will be my first Favorite Things that I would sell.
Not because I don't like them, but because I'm just not French/wine/poodle-y enough to want to keep them forever.

I would have been "taken in" by them, too. And sometimes I buy as though I had a shop (and I don't)!
I'm curious where you thrifted in K'zoo. Six years ago, I frequented the Rescue Mission thrift store downtown and until they closed it the one they had on the south edge (it was closer to Lawton where we lived).
I think they are pretty...very girly. They would be sweet used for a all girl get together, but I would probably use paper plates, or never have a get together. If I do, I'll give you a call to see if I can borrow them!
