Century Antique Mall

While my Aunt was in town this weekend we made a trip over to Century Antique Mall. It is one of our all time favorite antique malls. It's housed in the old Sligh Furniture factory which does add to its charm.
As we perused the locked cases (which is something i rarely do. because if it needs to be locked up, i cannot afford it) something caught my eye.

What did I find? But a piece of Royal Bayreuth! And I knew then that I had found exactly what THGGM would want for Father's Day.
He had found the pitcher on the right a while back at Wooden Shoe Antique Mall in Holland. I was a bit less excited, as, well, look at it. Not my style, not my colors, but as THGGM is wont to point out, not just MY house.
Now I have to admit that I have fallen for it. Otherwise I would not have shown him the smaller piece on the left. Which he liked very very much. So it's his now. For Father's Day.
Secretly, I do wish it were the Sun Bonnet Girls Royal Bayreuth that he liked. But, he's right, it is his house too.
If you live in the Grand Rapids area, or pass through it, Century Antique Mall is on Century, which runs right along US 131 - just south of the bus terminal.

You are right - it is his house too - that is why I have swords hanging on the living room walls

True,it is a man's house, too, but I draw the line when it comes to hanging enormous elk antlers in the living room. I did offer up the study though.

I love those pitchers!

I'm going to make a note of this one. Dear Hubby was just asking me if I knew where Holland was located in the state. He went to Ohio on Monday and said he passed a big antique mall just before he crossed the border and we're planning on going there on our 'next' trip to Ohio, which I hope was more successful than our 'last'!
