Fun Day Monday

Today while Kado was napping and Feintsje was having his bottle, Famke and I played with the 'suitcase' dollhouse.

She remembered how it had been set up before and wanted it exactly that same way.

Which was fun.

Then we started talking about ideas that would also work and Famke's creative mind started planning for some rearrangements.

After all, sitting around the same table with the same food for too long isn't fun for anyone, even the plastic people.
So she got the idea to change up the counter into a couch.

And, oh, those granny squares might work nice as pillows on the couch.

And their dog must even be sick of sitting around in the same basket all the time.
So with minimal suggestions from me her nimble fingers set it all up.

Their dog does not look happy at all.  Maybe the basket wasn't his problem.

Once Famke got their lamps all lit and we sat back to admire her handiwork she noticed that they needed something to look at.

They needed a TV!

So off went Famke into the dresser on the porch to find blocks small enough to make a lovely TV for her people.
Next she added a coffee table and gave the girl a large bowl of popcorn.

Now they're all set to watch the Superbowl!

Not sure who had more fun.  Was it me, or was it her?

Interestingly, my little piano student yesterday rearranged one of my dollhouses yesterday after her lesson. (It was kind of a bribe to get her to practice during the previous week.) She did a nice job. Paid a lot of attention to detail.

By the way, I'm thinking YOU had more fun! Although the look on her face makes it look like a toss up!

Aw, fun for both of you. I could play with that dollhouse in the suitcase myself. You have the sweetest grandchildren. Tell Famke I loved her decorating.
