10 in 10

10 places I went today.
There may be pictures to come.  Or maybe not.  Who knows?
1.  Cracker Barrel for breakfast.  It was very good.  I spilled apples on my new shirt.
2.  Nice Twice (thrift store) where I saw a cookie jar like the one my grandma had.  It looks like an old fashion telephone.  I didn't buy it.  Although I did pick up a few things.  I cannot remember what though.
3.  Buckley and Douglas.  A FABULOUS industrial antique store that just opened last night.  I bought a small wooden tray and THGGM bought eight test tubes.
4.  Century Antique Mall.  There I found two pieces to add to my Johnson Brother's Snowhite Regency dishes.  Another small platter and a square salad plate.  And I also found a metal sand shovel.
5.  Lost and Found.  THGGM found a great old crate for holding his Architectural Digest magazines. He should have become an architect.  He would have been darling at it.
6.  Warehouse One.  At Warehouse One I found some old sleigh bells.  I knew that I had seen sleigh bells for an unbelievably great price a few months ago.  But I couldn't remember where I had seen them.  Apparently I just didn't look closely enough.  So now they are mine.  And they shall hang on my back door so that if a child thinks he can slip outside without my knowledge he will be wrong.
7.  MacDonald's.  For a large diet Coke, light on the ice, and a hamburger.  I swathed myself in napkins so as not to add more spots to my nice new shirt.
8.  Depot Antiques in Spring Lake.  Made a low cash offer on a mid 1800's pine dresser that THGGM has had his eye on for a very long time.  The offer was accepted (!) and the guy running the place offered to delivered it to us for free.  Wow.  There is still fabulous customer service out there.  So now it sits in my dining room.
9.  One more antique mall stop - the name slips my mind at the moment.  It was busy.  I heard a woman  say to her husband, "After awhile it all starts to look the same."  I could not have agreed more.  So I found THGGM and expressed the very same sentiment and off we went.  But not before purchasing a tiny glass creamer, two small storage jars, and a wooden toy box bench that presently houses ALL of the blocks Son-in-law made for me. It had been raining, but when we stepped out of there the sky was blue and the sun was shining brightly.  I didn't hear angels singing, but you get the idea.  It was THAT good of a day today.  Angel singing good.  At least to me it was.  Or maybe I was just extremely tired and in need of coffee.
10.  Biggby Coffee.  I had a sugar-free mocha something or other which was amazing.  It was also rather late in the day for me to be drinking coffee, which explains why I am up at nearly midnight.  But it was good and I have no regrets.

My farmfair outing yesterday left me shuddering till midevening, it was raining, it started to storm, the grass was wet and I could have taken of my sandals, because my feet got wet too. The Alpaca's screamed they wanted their fleece back now and then, further they lay down looking adorable and , well, wet. I only bought a "green"magazine, with recipes for food and wooldying and so on, even the strawberries are not all red, one third is still white, I did ot nuy any. Thank heaven for the internet, today is like yesterday, but I can visit the whole world on the net. DM
