1. I am very tired. Are you ever very tired? I know I am very tired because I woke up this morning TWELVE HOURS after I got in bed. I am still tired.
2. It may be because for half of that time there was a very loud snorer laying next to me.
3. Several nights ago I dreamed that I was supposed to play the musical piece "Fur Elise" but there was a large man sitting on the piano bench so close to me that I could not move my arm. I kept asking him to, but he would just holler something nonsensical at me. Now I realize that THGGM must have been leaning on my arm, snoring.
4, We bought one of those noise making machines to use at night. Last night it was set to beach sounds. So, after the original noise making machine got up and went to work, I dreamed that I was on a beach. When it was time for me to leave, I couldn't remember where I had left my blue flip-flop sandals. I spent the last few hours (it seemed) of sleep walking up and down, back and worth, a lovely beach looking for them. Fientsje and Kado where with me and kept bringing me other people's sandals, which we would then have to bring back. It was an intense, yet somehow lovely, dream. And did we ever find my sandals? No. But when I got up this morning to let the dog out, there they were at the back door. So thankful someone returned them to me.
5. Besides numerous daily readings of "The Baby Bee-bee Bird", Snuggle Puppy, and "The Wheels on the Bus" I have been reading a variety of blogs pertaining to the moral failure of two leaders in the homeschool community. This is because for several years I homeschooled two of my three children, and that simple fact caused an enormous amount of homeschooling catalogs to appear in our mailbox. Oh, my. How evil does masquerade as light. This is what lea
d me to read "The Sociopath Nextdoor".
6. Of course, that isn't ALL I've been reading. All of this has lead me to re-read the gospels in different versions of the Bible. I'm also reading The Message. Someone on one of the blogs I mentioned above suggested reading only the gospels for four years just to get what Jesus actually said planted firmly into ones mind. I liked that idea, so I am doing that.
7. In other news, I STILL can't be in a crowd of 25 without wondering who the sociopath is.
8. Are you wondering if I am still making things? Not much. But tonight it is Famke's turn for her sleep-over, and I am happily preparing for us to make cards with the new butterfly stamps I have - still in an unopened package. The butterfly paper punches are already out, and hopefully we will end the night with some lovely butterfly cards! Of course, she will also be bringing her American Girl doll, so there will be that too! We may try to involve Pake in all of this too, as he is quite good at French braiding hair, and our dolls could certainly use some help with that.
9. I am also happy to report that the wincing pains I had been experiencing in the past few weeks have seemed to improve. Today I have vacuumed the entire house without any pain at all. This is a good thing. A very good thing, as I was wondering how I was going to endure life while wincing in a way that can only be described as totally annoying to other people, not to mention how not fun it is to be the one feeling it.
10. Now I have to go make a phone call. I cannot begin to tell you how much I hate to make phone calls. But it's time for Zeke to have his yearly shots, so a call must be made.

Oh, dear. I could have written a few of those - except I've never dreamed about sandals. I DO like the Message. It gets a little wordy sometimes, but sure gives me a fresh view of some fairly familiar passages...
I've considered reading the sociopath next door but keep putting it off as too depressing.
Sue can sleep for close to 12 hours sometimes, but I count myself lucky to get 8. It seldom happens. So yes, I am tired too.
As for reading the gospels, it's really hard to get the 'theology' and 'preconceptions' out of your mind. You could try reading them in parallel -- the same story in each one -- rather than reading one gospel all of the way thru and then the next one.
Hello Judy,
Tired? Oh yes, last Saturday this time in fact. Beautiful sunshine here today but just a little on the cool side. 80's are forecast for later in the week. I don't want summer to come too soon, dislike hot, humid summer. I have caught up on your posts and looked at all your pictures. How those grands have grown. Hard to believe how quickly little ones grow. Rest well tonight! God bless! Mary
