Little Bits of Christmas Decoration

This year we opted out of decorating the tree with anything except the lights it came with. It's very peaceful to sit in the living room at night with just these lights. 

The tree makes a lovely backdrop, letting other decor pop a  bit more.

I also didn't fill the usual cabinet with the usual scenes.

It's not in a place that is visible to me now, so I placed this part of it in front of the tree. Skaters got to skate! 

I also have my bird tree in the entry way. 

Some of this I set out while considering what to do with it. Instead, I decided it looked good enough right where it landed. 

For this, I got out a small suitcase and moved around some toys that were in odd and sundry places. 

I think this might remain out all year. With a bit of seasonal tweaking, I think it would work. 

I won't be in any hurry to take any of it down, even though Christmas Day has come and gone. Today is only day 2 of the twelve days of Christmas, so nothing is going anywhere. Chances are I shall be posting even more bits and pieces.
