He is a sneaky one, and waits until I trust him again before he snatches my glasses off my face.
He prefers to point and say "BALL!" over actually getting the ball himself.
Today, while I was singing/reading "The Cat in the Hat" to him, he decided he hated it and chose to scream his name for me (beppe) at the very top of his lungs. I refused to lose, but my voice gave out before his.
He hangs onto his fork, but tosses plates and bowls onto the floor, and then says "no" and pulls his own hand away.
He is a dancer. Really, truly, deeply, the boy lives to dance.
He can pretend. Today we pretended we were eating cherries off of a magazine page. He 'got it'. He no longer looks at me as if I am a wee bit touched in the head when I 'pretend'.
He likes to dust, eat crayons, run fast, open doors, and hug the kitty.
Clearly, he knows what he should not do, as he hides while he is doing it.
His NEW favorite sign is "STOP". He uses this when he is sick of me taking his picture.
He enjoys watching Sesame Street and Signing Time. We can no longer say "TV" because he will run to it and pick up the nearest thing that need only SLIGHTLY resemble a remote and point it at the TV. He likes the opening song to Bob the Builder and Mr. Roger's.
It's tricky introducing a new book to him, as he LOVES his old stand-bys, The Folks in the Valley, Barnyard Dance, Jesus Loves Me and any Touch and Feel book.
My kids LOVED "Mr. Brown Can Moo". He gives Mr. Brown a look that actually scares me. Hopefully, he will warm up to him soon, as I am memorizing it. After all, Mr. Brown is a wonder!
Anyway...
Did I mention that I get to be covered in kisses from this boy all day long?
Why, yes. I believe I did.

He sounds like a Baby Boy after my own heart! The kids ended up staying home this week because my son and Dylan were both super-sick with colds. Dylan started feeling better yesterday, so they called and asked me if I'd like to go to the zoo with them all today. It's absolutely GORGEOUS here, so the answer was "YES!" All I have to do is buy the Starbucks along the way, haha! Hope you have a great weekend, Judy!
my boys LOVE Mr. Brown can moo... so much fun to read it with them now. Keep trying with Baby Boy and eventually I am sure he'll love it too :)
If I DO say so myself, my reading of Mr. Brown Can Moo is VERY good.
"The boy ain't right", must be.
LOL! I am glad you are so loved!
