No, this isn't "Love Story".
I keep writing posts that do not get published, mostly because things are changing here so quickly that I cannot seem to stay on top of it all.
Let's see...
Daughter and Son-in-law had their house inspected on Monday. They are back to negotiating. There was not much wrong.
We had ours last night, and only a handful of minor things were found. Our house inspector was amazed at how good everything was.
Oldest Son and Daughter-in-law will be moving at the end of the month. Oldest Son has a good lead on a job, and we will all heave a collective sigh of relief once he gets one. Daughter-in-law will be pursuing her doctorate beginning in August at Western Michigan.
Youngest Son moved at the beginning of the year. Seems like he started this whole exodus.
Hopefully, by the time New Baby arrives we will all be settled, relaxed and happy. Or, at the very least, content with where we are.
Over the weekend we were given a piano! It was about to become bon-fire fodder for a friend of ours. He is even willing to deliver it right to us as soon as we move. I didn't think a piano would burn well, and told him so. Not so, he told me, he has burned them before.
I finished reading "Rebecca of Sunnybrook Farm". I really liked it. Now I am looking through all of my books with new eyes. Asking myself, "Do I REALLY want to take this with me?" I sent my sister home with a box full of books this week, and hope to do the same with my other sister next week. I used to try to read a fiction classic in the summer, but I think I will stay with the light reading this summer.
Well, except for the non-fiction "Inside Out" book I am still working my way through. Last night I read several chapters toward the end, and if I still underlined, I would have underlined it all. It's been so long since I read it the first time, I'm amazed at how much my thinking has changed. In some places, I wish I could write in the margin and send it through time to the 'me' who read it the first time.
That would be a good premise for a novel.
Baby Boy will soon be undergoing a name change on my blog. There isn't much 'baby' about him any more. I was going to write down all of the new things he said today, but there were so many I lost track. I figure that as long as I am keeping track of HIM, it's a good day.

I think I mentioned to you in a comment or email that we moved 7 times in our first 5 years of marriage. They're going to have to DRAG me out of this one when I die, ha! August 3rd it'll be 25 years we've lived here.
