These pictures are from Famke's birthday party on Sunday, but we DID swing today, too.
Jonge is still sick with the very high fever, but when it drops he likes to go outside and swing. I believe that the breeze helps.
Famke is not sick. She is happy and energetic. Today she thought it would be fun to try running instead of walking. It's very funny to watch!
I'm catching many many words coming from her. Sunday, I plucked a leave from the tree we were sitting under, and she held it up and said "Back". Hmm. I could not put it back.
Today I heard "Plea" and "Tickle" and "Beppe". She is also getting very good with signing. Her favorite now is "More", but she would also look at her fevered brother and do the sign for "Hurt".
And I hate to be rude, but what kind of strange Olympics are being played during the day time hours? I thought we might have a grand time watching those, but really, have you ever tried to interest a sick little boy into watching Badminton? I tried getting him into the painting guy on PBS, but he wasn't into that either.
So, we snuggled. A lot. Me, fevered Jonge, always hot Famke and their beloved dog, Charley. All piled together.
THGGM had the day off. It would have been a beautiful day for going to the beach.
But, it was also a good day to snuggle.
Actually, there is never a bad day for that.
