Summer Need Not End for Me

The wonderful thing about being as old as I am, summer doesn't need to end!

Today was the hottest day so far this summer.

I didn't need to pack anyone off to school or DRIVE ANYWHERE.

(sigh...)

Nothing feels any different than it did a week ago.

I have started pulling out 'fall' stuff from here and there.

(sigh...)

This morning THGGM had to do battle with a bat in the house.

THGGM won.

I slept through it all.

Our first bat in this house.

(sigh...)

But, Daughter wins.

She and her family spent yesterday evening at the beach.

A seagull ( or as Jonge says it, 'beagle') poo-ed on her head. BIG TIME.

Too funny, when it isn't happening to you.

(sigh...)

Last time we were in Mexico for Tim's company retreat, a frigate bird dropped a gift on the head of a bald guy during the formal dinner party held at a very nice outdoor restaurant (that apparently couldn't afford umbrellas. ;))

I'm on an Island right now. Missing my boyfriend. Preparing for us to see each other again. It helps when I have built him up, and seems the future in law is now loving him (I can be a good girlfriend in times ;)). Just really happy in how things work out for a reason. I'm waiting for him, Thank God there is a miracle at work through patience. I love him. I tell you what a great way to distress is to be stuck in a deserted Island, lying in the sun, swimming at the beach, feeling the cool breeze and being one with the sky. If life is this good - imagine what is to come (a life worth living). Out with the old self, and in with the new.

giggles. It truly is funnier when it hits someone else!

I sympathize with your daughter. I had one poop on my head as I walked about half a dozen kids to school back when all of them were in grade school. And THEY thought it was hilarious! Ha. Ha.

Great post... I've been thinking the same thing lately but hadn't put it into words. Thanks for doing that for me! Blessings, Debra
