More Trips Down Someone Else's Memory Lane

Looks like my mom and dad hosted a party at their house some sixty years or so ago.

This lovely young couple is my aunt and uncle.
I'd know them anywhere.
They have aged well.
When I got married, my mom gave me one of those cups and saucers.
Last year, my dad gave me two of the serving pieces.
I have no idea what happened to the rest of it. I look for it at every thrift and antique store.

Besides my mom and my aunt and uncle whom you've just met, I'd like to point out my dad, who is seated in the middle of the couch. He must be about the age of Youngest Son, who bares a striking resemblance to him. Youngest Son also is a wearer of sweater vests.
I'm not sure who everyone else is. I think the woman seated at the far left is my mom's friend Helen who passed away about two years ago - after my mom moved to the nursing home.
Whenever I find pictures at my dad's I recall how he would always tell me to write the date and the names of who is in the picture because in just a few years I wouldn't remember anymore. Now I only wish he had practice what he preached. At least about writing on pictures. In all other ways, he did.

Love these photos with their peeks into days gone by! Oh, and thanks so much for your comments at my blog. You made me laugh when you said you'd take the painkillers whether you needed them or not. ha! You're so funny, Judy.:) You know what the real miracle is? Here it is 21 hours later and I've still not felt a single pain in my mouth. Wow. And after all the unspeakable things the oral surgeon did to my mouth yesterday, well, truly that is saying something. God is good (but we knew that already didn't we?) :) Blessings (and thanks again for sharing the pics with us), Debra
