Of course, it is rather obvious that I am grateful for Jonge, Famke, Kado, and Great-Nephew.
But quite possibly one of the lesser known things that I am thankful for?
Commercial-free Public Television.
In this instance, Caillou.
We had already played with dolls, cars, dinosaurs, bells, and balls.
Nobody felt particularly in the mood to nap (except for me). Caillou holds the attention of the sixteen month - four and a half year olds. And even those well into their 50's.
Kado bears a stunning resemblance to Caillou, which adds to its charm.

We love Caillou in our household, too, but our DISH doesn't have Sprout, which is what it broadcasts on out here. Even Cooper will ask, "Where's Caillou, Ahma?" But we'll cuddle down and watch episodes of it when I'm at the kids' house. And Kado does look a lot like Caillou, remarkably.
We do Caillou too -- among other things.
How very precious they all are. And to imagine that 4 small children sitting so still - I bet that was a blessing as well!
Lisa :o)
A Norman Rockwell moment. ;0)
Had to laugh about your comment of "nobody particularly in the mood to nap" except you. I can relate to that!
These days you're in with the grands were some of my favorite times with my own kids. Before the complete all encompassing realm of formal education takes over. Yes, these are the days. They all are....
Take extra good care,
Jen
Hmmm... have never heard of Caillou. Will have to check it out. What cuties on the couch! Blessings, Debra
