Where Has She Been...

Goodness. Where have I been?
Let's see..,
I haven't left the house since I came home from Daughter's home on Monday. Hmm. Took a nap, woke up and pretty much went straight to bed.
Tuesday evening we finally got a call from THGGM's kidney doctor.
Now I'll back up here to tell you that THGGM had a wee bit of a problem this summer. Our primary care doctor sent him to see a specialist. The specialist did some very unfun things to him which turned up nothing too terribly unusual so the specialist sent him for a kidney scan. The kidney scan results took a while to get back, but when they did THGGM was summonsed to the office for a consultation. The kidney scan results were excellent, which is good to know. But, the scan showed a spot on THGGM's liver.
This is not to be confused with a liver spot - we both already have those.
The doctor was very reassuring, saying that more than likely it would turn out to be nothing of much concern. But then, it wasn't HIS liver. We left his office having been told that a nurse would set up an MRI for him just to rule out anything too terribly awful, no good, or very bad. First thing Wednesday morning I got a call that his MRI would be at 6:30 the next morning. THGGM was rather happy about this appointment, as it meant he could sleep in for an extra hour.
It wasn't until Tuesday evening that the doctor called back with the results. It looks like an hepatic hemangioma. Nothing to worry about. Will have a follow up MRI in three months.
We are humbly giving thanks to God, which I hope we would also be doing were the results any different. But these results make that so much easier to do.
Then, I caught a cold and I am soooo whiny. But seriously, I am trying NOT to be. THGGM never Never NEVER whines about anything.
(i hope there are no obvious flaws in this post. on running spell check, i almost changed 'hemangioma' to harmonica. then, i said we were giving 'things' to God. actually, we are giving 'thanks' to God. i think i'm just going to grab a cup of coffee and watch 'Leave it to Beaver' reruns for the rest of the day.)

Glad things came out well.
Hope you feel better soon.

Had a brilliant, BUT, very dyslexic room mate. She was doing yet another paper for her Master's Degree and spell checked "pencile" for "penile". It was supposed to be pencil. My best friend, a Mag. Editor was her paper editor, thank goodness.

Great pics.
Happy Thanksgiving, indeed.

Good to hear the report was so good. Some spell "corrects" can be downright hilarious. Have a great weekend.

My husband is not a whiner either. We are blessed women! A harmonica on the liver would be quite a phenomena. And it is good to give "Things" to God as well as "thanks"...

You have been missed, by the way.

I could take a lesson from your non-whining husband. So glad to hear his good report!
Being thankful in and out of season, another good lesson.
You have a post full of good lessons!

Isn't is amazing how thankful one can be for "only" a cold after waiting for test results and having them come back benign.

Hope you're feeling better soon. Missed you.
