He was happy and entertained us by babbling and squealing with delight.
Again, I proved that one can have great fun on a mere $13.00. I HAD more money, but I'm now intrigued by the challenge of having fun on $13.00.
Lunch came to seven dollars.
At the first thrift store I spent less than three, and came away with a doll pattern, some bias tape, a wooden box to decoupage on and eight tiny tin jello molds. I also found four great books at 50 cents a piece.
At the next thrift store I struck gold! A music book I've been wanting for only 59 cents and several pieces of sheet music, including "What a Wonderful World".
What a wonderful world!
Like I keep reminding THGGM, he is very lucky that I am so cheaply amused.

Indeed he is so fortunate...you could be off buying expensive clothes, shoes, etc like many women do!!
I DO buy expensive rubber stamps.
He IS kind about that!
yea...but that ain't like expensive clothes dearie...not even close!! Don't let him forget how fortunate he is...drag him to some expensive dress shops once in awhile!! Or even a fabric shop!
Oh my...and this proves it yet again, LOL! I am Queen of the Thrift Stores! There's nothing that gives me a bigger thrill than going to a thrift store -- a yard or garage sale will do in a pinch, too -- and finding a great bargain. My garden is full of all kinds of little "tchotchkes" that have caught my eye and I use it for 'art'. Outside of my underwear, just about every piece of clothing I own is thrift store finds...just 'coz I love to find a Nordstrom knit top for $2.99, haha! It's a BLAST! And I found a stroller for Little Man for $3.99...how can you beat that?! I haven't ventured out with him anywhere except on walks around the neighborhood but I'm sure Baby Boy was more entertaining than the fanciest restaurant in town ever could be.
