February Favorites

Game pieces.
They are just so fun to have.
Even as a child, I liked playing with the game pieces even more than playing the game.
Such possibilities!

And with these, I can spell things out without trying to earn points.
I'm not a fan of earning points.
And, I'm no longer a good speller, so these words help. Not that I'd have any trouble spelling any of THESE particular words, but whatever.

These are a bit trickier.
I like spelling out the grandchildren's names and placing them in front of their pictures.
Maybe I should do that again.
I also like collecting old glass jars with lids for storing some of the old game pieces in.

These Monopoly pieces I bought just for the iron.
Notice the iron is now missing.
Hmmm. Things like this are always happening to me.
I wanted it for my doll house dolls.
I'll have to ask around...
(oldest son has just informed me that the reason there is no iron is because they are CLUE game pieces. so, i guess i need to get a CLUE. although, i do have the monopoly pieces.., somewhere...)

My favorite game pieces are Scrabble letters.
Several years ago Daughter gave me this for my birthday (she knows that i really mean it when i ask for strange stuff).
I LOVE how neatly organized all the letters are!
And, it proves to me that at some point in my life, I DID know how to be organized. I DID. I really DID.
(help. i've fallen behind and i can't catch up.)

Those aren't Monopoly pieces; those are Clue pieces. Probably why there's no iron.

It was Mrs. White in the Laundry Room with the Rowenta steam iron.

The wooden shoes I bought for you, the one that K snagged - you can see them on my blog - they really are adorable...

I thought there was an iron in the Monopoly game too. Thanks for the correction. Always something new to learn, but alas...I can't spell any more either.
