Last Week Monday Night

As we left Elk Rapids and drove through cherry orchards laden with fruit it began to rain.

This is fun and exciting when you are eight and six.

We still needed to pick up groceries so made a stop at Tom's Market in Acme.

Apparently, walking in the rain is just as much fun when you are eight and six as is playing at the beach in a park. Who knew?

When we got back to the hotel there was still plenty to do.  Like playing with the story board boxes, which they did really enjoy!
Famke and I spent more time with this, as it was also the night for the All Star Home Run Derby, which Jonge was very interested in.

And it cleared up enough for us to view an amazing sunset, and then to settle into chairs on the deck to watch the lights of the distant traffic.

Very peaceful.
